Gorgeous Sterling Opal rests in my hand fabricated silver settings, and below dance silver hand fabricated charms representing the rain in the southwest desert - an infrequent and long-awaited occurrence!
These post earrings measure 1 and 5/8 inches from post to end of longest charm.
The top portion is 10 mm total in diameter, with the opal being 6 mm.
These post earrings come with both sterling silver ear nut backs, AND rubber backs.
SO lightweight, swing-y, and southwest-inspired!
About Sterling Opal:
This cultured Opal is GIA certified, lab grown here in the US, and is comprised of nano particles of silica dioxide. In order to get the GIA certification, the product must be chemically the same as the natural product. Sterling cultured Opal meets these standards. It's a beautiful, solid product!
I use both Sterling Opal, and other lab-produced opals, but Sterling Opal is GIA certified. I ALWAYS note in my jewelry descriptions which opals, man-made/lab-produced/or natural (and other gemstones) I use, so be sure to read the descriptions in my listings!!!

Azteca Designs jewelry is hand-fabricated one unique piece at a time by me! Most of my work features intentional oxidation and patina. This finish is not meant to be removed, however, a small polishing cloth is included with silver jewelry orders and you may use this to gently clean your silver jewelry if it begins to tarnish.
Some gemstones are more delicate than others. Please wear pieces with care. I recommend removing all jewelry before strenuous activity or bathing/swimming.
